Well, most people already know my feelings on the GoF film, but I love your take on it.

Okay, I get everyone’s reaction to Rupert’s hair, it is out of control. But at least with Daniel’s lioness mane he more resembles what his book persona looks like. He was always supposed to have wild, untamable hair, not a perfect little bowl cut. I think they only got Hermione’s hair right in one movie.

Ha! You didn’t realize that he was going to grow into an Elijah Wood replica? I remember watching SS for the first time and thinking, “God, he’s going to be the second coming of Elijah Wood isn’t he?”

By the final movie Emma’s eyes are going to resemble James Van Der Beek’s (and just as good an actress).

Cedric v. Victor - I noticed the exact same thing when I saw the pictures of them for the first time. I always have them confused now because I think one is the other.

Fleur a.k.a the poor man’s Claire Danes, yeah, she is not even remotely what I would have envisioned as someone who is ¼ Veela.

WTF? Well, I guess Carol Burnett did need work. She didn’t need to be fuged up like that though. Everything about that is just…wrong? All girl and boys schools? That makes a lot of sense. And this is supposed to be the beginning of the Tri-Wizard Tournament, not rush/pledge week at a historically black college. Step routines weren’t needed.

I tend to ignore Michael Gambon, he’s not Richard Harris. I guess that will be impossible once they get to HBP. Of course, I refuse to watch GoF so I doubt I’ll be seeing HBP.

Which is a good think as that stupid, creepy mermaid is liable to give me nightmares.

So will the dragon. Pinhead…exactly.

I never heard of comma-gate. One would think that a comma and a period wouldn’t be so difficult for a major movie studio as they used quotation marks as well.

What I did hear was the controversy over the years on that tombstone. Something I never would have noticed. You’re right, they would have saved everyone a lot of trouble if they had just made it the right way. I always wonder what goes through these movie-guys minds when they adapt books to film. They change everything to make it their story so they can take all the glory, instead of doing it right.

Whoa ... long comment!

But at least with Daniel’s lioness mane he more resembles what his book persona looks like. He was always supposed to have wild, untamable hair, not a perfect little bowl cut.

Agree about the bowl cut, but I've always imagined Harry's hair as wild, untameable, and short. After all, the Dursleys are continually hauling him to the barber's.

Am now googling Claire Danes ... oh, I see the resemblance. The way they're doing Beauxbatons is really starting to bug me; it's sexist. I mean: Dumbledore's introduction of them as "the lovely ladies," the dance with the little butterflies flying around, the little hats with the uniforms--the Beauxbatons girls are not Veelas. At least most of them aren't. And why on earth would an all-girls school and an all-boys school agree to compete with a co-ed school? Hogwarts has an advantage from the starting gate. And what's this nonsense about "eternal glory"? Quick, name a previous winner of a Triwizard tournament. Even Tom Riddle, who won a "special services to the school" award, just got a dusty trophy. (Hey, is that a horcrux?)

If you read my post about PS/SS, you might have figured out that I didn't like Richard Harris's performance too much. Maybe they'll revamp Dumbledore between each movie so that every reader can choose his favorite.

Warners eventually fixed the punctuation on the poster. Also I think you can see the tombstone in another trailer, and it appears that they altered it with CGI. So things are looking up.

And this is supposed to be the beginning of the Tri-Wizard Tournament, not rush/pledge week at a historically black college. Step routines weren’t needed.

LOL. I'm actually attending a college with a large black study body and we just got through pledge week. Never thought about that before. Hee hee.

Yeah, I tend to rant, a lot, about these movies.

I don't know, doesn't the book say that his hair always grows back overnight? I thought that's what it said. Either way, Dan's hair is ooogly the way it is. It would look so much better shorter and wild.

Ugh, I don't really have any more to say about the schools situation. As disappointed as I've been in the movies, especially PoA, it still amazes me how much they screw up even the littlest things. Honestly, what was there to be gained by making the competing schools single-sex?

Good thought on the horcrux! I would say it's quite likely.

Yeah, I read you didn't like Richard Harris. I chose to ignore it, because I LOVED him!

Good to hear, bad, basic punctuation is irritating.

Hahah, I was wondering if they still did the step routines. My University was freaking huge, so I would have never caught any of them.
